Do you want to meet your English language assistant?
My name is Kobe Phillips. I am from Australia and I am the language assistant.
As a native English speaker I am able to provide unique opportunities for them. During classes I help them with proper pronunciation and native/colloquial English phrases. I also take groups of students for various speaking activities. Here students get to practise speaking much more than they do in regular class. This helps many of the students gain more confidence speaking in English because of my younger age and the smaller group environment.
Being a younger teacher also helps the students relate a bit more and make the sessions more fun for them, which makes them more eager to learn.

A l’ésser un parlant natiu d’anglès, puc oferir-los oportunitats úniques. Durant les classes, els ajudo amb la pronunciació adequada i amb expressions en anglès natives i col·loquials. També formo grups d’alumnes per a realitzar diverses activitats d’expressió oral. Aquí els estudiants tenen l’oportunitat de practicar la parla molt més que en una classe normal. Això ajuda a molts d’ells a guanyar més confiança en parlar en anglès, gràcies a la meva edat més jove i a l’ambient de grups reduïts.
Ser un professor jove també ajuda al fet que els estudiants s’identifiquin una mica més i fa que les sessions siguin més divertides per a ells, la qual cosa augmenta el seu entusiasme per aprendre.
What is the mission of a language assistant?
As a Language Assistant my job is to help the students with their English.
In the classroom I am able to provide native pronunciation and knowledge/views of a different culture. Throughout a class I can offer advice and assistance on any questions the students might have about the activities they do from language exercises to helping with vocabulary, grammar in group projects and oral presentations.
Throughout the week I also take groups of students out of classes to do conversational activities. This helps students gain confidence in speaking English, as well as offers opportunities for them to learn new vocabulary, improve pronunciation and practise ways to express their thoughts and ideas in English.
Quina és la missió d’un assistent de llengua?
Com a auxiliar d’idiomes, el meu treball consisteix a ajudar als estudiants amb el seu anglès.
A l’aula, puc proporcionar-los pronunciació nativa i coneixements/perspectives d’una cultura diferent. Durant la classe, puc oferir assessorament i assistència amb qualsevol pregunta que puguin tenir sobre les activitats que realitzen, des d’exercicis de llengua fins a ajuda amb vocabulari, gramàtica en projectes grupals i presentacions orals.
Al llarg de la setmana, també porto a grups d’estudiants anés de classe per a realitzar activitats de conversa. Això els ajuda a guanyar confiança en parlar anglès, a més de brindar-los oportunitats per a aprendre nou vocabulari, millorar la pronunciació i practicar maneres d’expressar les seves idees en anglès.e un assistent de llengua
